Children’s teeth need care that suits their age, their growing jaws and their nerves in the dental chair. At Avance Dental, children are seen by our specialist pediatric dentist, Dr. Anukriti Pathak, who is trained to treat babies, children and teenagers, including children who are anxious or have special needs. First visit
When should my child first see a dentist?
Bring your child for a first visit when the first tooth appears, or by their first birthday. Early visits let us spot decay early, give advice on brushing, feeding and fluoride, and help your child get used to the clinic before they ever need treatment.
After that, most children need a check-up every six months.

Around age seven
Early orthodontic check
We recommend an orthodontic check by around age seven. Our orthodontists can spot crowding, crossbites or jaw growth problems early, when they are often easier to manage. Some children benefit from early treatment, while others simply need monitoring until they are ready for braces or Aline clear aligners.

Helping your child feel at ease
- Talk about the visit in a calm, positive way, and avoid words like “hurt” or “needle”.
- Book a time of day when your child is usually rested.
- Stay with your child during the visit, if you wish.
- Tell us if your child has had a difficult dental experience before, so we can take things slowly.
At home
Tips for healthy teeth at home
Brush twice a day
With a fluoride toothpaste: a smear for children under three, a pea-sized amount from age three.
Help them brush
Help your child brush until they are about seven or eight.
Water between meals
Keep sweet snacks and drinks to mealtimes, and give water between meals.
No bedtime bottles
Do not put a baby to bed with a bottle of milk or juice.

FAQ
Questions about children’s dentistry
Do baby teeth really need fillings?
Yes. Decay in baby teeth can cause pain and infection, and early loss of baby teeth can affect how the adult teeth come through.
What should I do if my child knocks out a tooth?
For an adult tooth, hold it by the crown, rinse it briefly if dirty, and put it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Call us straight away on 04 266 6022. Do not put a baby tooth back in, but still have your child checked.
Can I bring two children to the same appointment?
Yes. Tell us when you book and we will try to schedule them together.

I have started my orthodontist treatment with Dr. Amritha 1 year ago and I am very satisfied with the results. She had very professional approach and well skilled orthodontist. They have 3 branches all over Dubai and that’s I haven’t experienced any interruption for my treatment even after I moved to another neighborhood, I have started at Ibn Batuta Branch and continue at Deira with same doctor because they have shifts on different branches at different days. I have collected prices from other clinics and they offered the best service in a reasonable price for Alignment treatment. You can choose without any hesitation.

I’m really happy with both the experience and the results of my teeth alignment treatment.
My case was quite severe and the treatment lasted about a year, but Dr. Fidha was exceptional throughout—professional, knowledgeable, and consistently supportive. The reception team and dental assistants were also fantastic. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and highly professional.
You can truly tell you’re in the hands of experts who know exactly how to handle each individual case.

I have had my aligners done and the transformation was amazing,
Thanks to Dr. Jenny who started with me then worked with Dr. Amrita, both were very professional and know what are they doing,
They follow up with me all the way for 18 months, gave full support till the end, and always ready to answer any question you have.
I would also like to command Dr Anas for fixing a broken tooth i had during this period, very patient and didnt rush the treatment, untill he made sure everything was good for the next step. Starting from the root canal till the crown.
Special thanks to Ms Fritz, fir her amazing hospitality and she have friendliest receptionist i have ever met. She have also helped me my insurance claims, with all needed supported documents
We can go without thanking all the nurses and assistants that helped throughout my journey.

We have been regular visitors to Avance Dental Clinic in Deira, Dubai, and our experience has consistently been excellent. I recently underwent two tooth implants, and I can’t thank Dr. Uthappa, the prosthodontist and implantologist, enough for his outstanding work. As someone who is quite sensitive when it comes to dental procedures, I was initially anxious—but Dr. Uthappa made the entire process smooth and completely painless. He is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and reassuring, which helped put me at ease throughout the treatment. If you're looking for a dental professional who truly knows what he's doing and puts patient comfort first, I highly recommend Dr. Uthappa.
I also recently had a root canal treatment done by Dr. Anas, and I couldn’t be more thankful for his care & professionalism. Despite being in severe pain, he was exceptionally patient and made sure I was as comfortable as possible during the entire procedure. Dr. Anas had previously treated my husband for a root canal as well, and both our experiences have been nothing short of excellent.
Overall, the dental treatments at this clinic have been of the highest quality, and I wholeheartedly recommend both Dr. Uthappa and Dr. Anas for anyone seeking expert and compassionate dental care.
Equally commendable is the clinic’s receptionist, Ms. Fritz, who is always polite, friendly, and professional. I did Damon braces with Dr. Fida and had an amazing experience. I had a crossbite, and the treatment took about a year and two months but I’d see rapid results in between each appointment. The team was always organized and made sure I never missed an appointment. The clinic was always clean and welcoming. I truly couldn’t be happier with the results and cannot believe how perfect my teeth are now thanks to Dr Fida. I highly recommend this clinic

I went in to meet with Dr Deepak today for a consultation to get Invisalign. He’s hands down the most attentive & detail oriented doctor I’ve ever met. He’s thorough, helped me carve out a plan & explained the process clearly. It’s rare to find a doctor who creates value the first time you meet them & isn’t transactional in nature. The experience superseded my expectations & I’ll be starting my Invisalign journey very soon. Would absolutely recommend the clinic to anyone!

I am very much pleased with my Invisalign journey with Dr Deepak Sharma. Saw some drastic changes after 5 weeks of the treatment. Now I am down to my last 5 adjustments and the result is beyond my expectation. Plus, I did only 4 dental visits for 5.5 months. How convenient is that. Kudos!

One of the best dental clinics in Dubai with excellent doctors, very friendly and professional staff, well maintained, following proper hygiene as per covid norms and the best part is the treatment is reasonably priced. I am very happy with my dental treatment by Dr. Deepak. Along with the treatment, doctor has also explained the entire process along with the root cause of mis alignment. I was also provided with additional details about how to prevent cavities in the kids and adults which no doctor had ever mentioned. Very happy with the services provided. Recommending to visit it.

I came in this clinic hopeless with a very bad experience from a so called VIP Clinic. Happily, I found this dental clinic which is very welcoming and caring with their patients, starting from the reception, the nurse and the doctors. Dr. Deepak is currently doing my dental treatment and he is very professional and knows how to treat patients nicely. One thing I like about this clinic is they are not after money, their main goal is to make their patients happy and satisfied. Now I am very satisfied with the improvement of my teeth and I’m planning to do further treatments with them.
